About the trainer.

Meet Ibis, aka “Alexa,” the face of a new generation of dog trainers. Highly skilled and immersed in dog training since she could first hold a leash, Alexa’s passion for understanding dog behavior led her to earn her CPDT-KA certification in 2022, and she is also an AKC CGC Evaluator. After earning her bachelor’s degree in special education from the University of Miami, Alexa transitioned from teaching in Boston to pursuing her love for dogs full-time.

Alexa has attended numerous seminars led by respectable trainers and renowned national and international agility handlers, including Stefanie Rainer, Soshana Dos, Sabina Šťastná, Anne Eifert, Sara Brueske, Hannah Branigan, and  Amber Aquart among many others. She brings a wealth of experience to her classes and is committed to making training enjoyable and accessible for everyone. By fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment, Alexa creates a safe space where both dogs and their parents can thrive. Her ultimate goal is to ensure that you and your dog leave each class feeling successful, with clear and open communication always encouraged.
